Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5k
June 22nd, 2008 saw a sweaty success for the 10th anniversary of the most scenic half-marathon. A beautiful course along the shores of the Pacific Ocean - a net downhill course, spectacular views and a cool breeze at your back. The half-marathon's great reputation and fantastic course, have made it one of the largest half-marathon's in the area. Start getting ready for next year's race!

Vancouver Maritime Museum
Immerse yourself in history and discover rich maritime traditions of the Pacific Coast. Step back in time to 1944 on board St Roch, Canada's celebrated RCMP schooner. Young at heart can explore Alcan Children's Maritime Discovery Centre and visit historic vessels in Heritage Harbour. Minutes from downtown at south end of Burrard Street Bridge close to Granville Island.

Metropolis at Metrotown
With 470 stores, Metropolis at Metrotown is British Columbia's largest shopping destination. Capilano Suspension Bridge
Naturally thrilling since 1889, Capilano Suspension Bridge is breathtakingly suspended 450 feet (135m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. Cross over to Treetops Adventure and walk from one magnificent Douglas fir to another via a series of seven elevated suspension bridges, some reaching as high as 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor. A complete West Coast experience just minutes from Downtown.

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival
Every June through September, Bard on the Beach professional Shakespeare Festival brings to life the magic of Shakespeare's great plays. The Festival site is located on the waterfront in Vancouver's Vanier Park, adjacent to the downtown core. Staged in two open-ended performance tents, the productions are set against a spectacular natural backdrop of mountains, sea and city skyline.
